What Is RLDMSF?
The Reginald L Dennis Memorial Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to deserving young musicians thereby moving them closer to attaining their musical goals. Our vision is to create a world where the transformative power of music transcends boundaries, empowering passionate individuals from all walks of life to pursue their dreams. Through our scholarship fund, we aim to nurture talent, foster creativity, and champion diversity, for aspiring musicians who seek to inspire, innovate and connect communities through the universal language of music.
Scholarship Information
The Reginald L Dennis Scholarship Fund is available to all aspiring young musicians who have chosen a stringed instrument as their primary area of focus. In order to be considered for the scholarship the student should demonstrate the desire to learn a stringed instrument and should have some level of beginner proficiency which would be showcased via individual audition. If it is a new student to the instrument, an essay or interview may be used in lieu of audition.
Upcoming Events
We have many events we are planning in order to increase visibility of the scholarship fund to deserving students as well as the community. It is one of our main objectives to provide opportunities not only for prospective scholarship applicants, but also the community as a whole to interact with our staff and professional musicians throughout the community. We are excited about the events planned and look forward to bringing them to the Charlotte, NC area. In order to achieve our strategic objective, it is important for us to partner with other corporate and non-profit organizations that align with our core values and mission. Partnerships for us means mutual exposure for both parties involved. This offers both the ability to tap into additional opportunities that may have not presented themselves in traditional avenues. Community Outreach
We are excited about the opportunities to impact the community. Community Outreach gives us the ability to be present in many settings within the local and surrounding areas. It is important that the foundation is visible not only to aspiring young musicians but also potential sponsors and donors. We aim to be present in various settings that align with our core objectives.
